Apple Announces iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

It's the beginning of September and that can only mean one thing. No, we don't mean back to school but the annual refresh of Apple's best selling smartphone.

The company announced their next generation of iPhones: the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The two phones incorporate a number of new features and feature upgrades compared to their immediate predecessors. This includes new camera options, water resistance, better quality screens and dual speakers. The phones come in two versions of black in addition to the existing silver, gold and rose gold colors. Regular black is matte, while jet black is a high gloss. As expected the phones have no headphone jack and will now use the lightening port to provide audio. Pre-orders open up on the 9th, and they’ll begin shipping one week later on the 16th.
